Making a Difference

As I reflect on our latest achievement at UW Whitewater, I'm reminded of the importance of giving back to the community. Julie and I had the privilege of attending the Spring 2025 Awards & Recognition Ceremony, where we were honored to present the prestigious 2025 Michael Chaloupka Leadership Scholarship to Evelyn Schmidt.

This scholarship is just one example of how Michaels Helping Hands Foundation is making a significant impact in the lives of adults with disabilities. Besides providing scholarships like this, our foundation also offers funding for recreational opportunities and philanthropic pursuits that bring about real change.

Equally important, our silent auctions have been raising vital funds to support these initiatives. Moreover, we're committed to supporting causes that benefit the most vulnerable members of our society.

Furthermore, I want to express my gratitude to all the generous individuals who bid on and purchased items in our 2024 MHHF Silent Auction. Your support means everything to us and will enable us to continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

What's more, this scholarship is just one example of how our foundation is working towards a brighter future for all. Nor will we rest until every adult with a disability in Southeastern Wisconsin has access to the resources they need to thrive.

First and foremost, I want to thank Evelyn Schmidt for her dedication to pursuing her education despite facing numerous challenges. Next, I'd like to acknowledge the UW Whitewater community for their unwavering support of our foundation's mission.

Last but not least, I want to express my pride in what we've accomplished so far. Finally, I invite you to join us on this journey and be a part of making a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities.
