Well folks, this is it!
Your last chance to bid in the 2026 MHHF Auction is here. We are down to the final hours, so if there is something you have had your eye on, now is the time to make your move!
We moved the end time until 10AM tomorrow for you late risers who want to get your last-minute bids in before work. Bidding ends at 10AM unless a last-minute bid comes in. If that happens, the auction will be extended for another minute or two to give others a chance to respond. So don't assume an item is yours until the clock really runs out!
And then there is that Glarry Electric Guitar. It currently has a bid of $42 and will sell this year. With a value of roughly three times that amount, there is still plenty of room for someone to get a great deal while helping us reach our fundraising goal. I have moved these items into the featured section so they are easier to find if you want to take another look.
There are still some really good opportunities out there. One of the big ones is the Washington County Golf Outing, valued at $130, and it has not received a bid yet. If you enjoy golf, this one is definitely worth a look.
Another great option is the Create Your Own Adventure package at Bars & Recreation. The package is valued at $350 and currently has a bid of just $55. It is designed for a dozen or so friends and includes your choice of Slingshot shooting, Shuffleboard, or Karaoke, with drinks extra. It sounds like a pretty awesome birthday present, group outing, or just a fun night with friends!

Thanks again to everyone who has participated, shared the auction, watched the bids, and helped spread the word. After we pay the auction house, approximately one-third of the proceeds will go to WALH, one-third will go toward a UW-Whitewater scholarship, and one-third will go to Katy's Kloset Medical Lending Library. That makes every bid and every winning purchase part of something bigger.
We will be pulling the orders together early next week as payments come in. We will be in contact with winners with the details on payment and pickup or delivery. Please keep an eye out for those communications once the auction closes.
And for those of you keeping score on the hidden items, I did release a new Target this morning and someone found it almost immediately! That was the last of the hidden items for this year, so there are no more surprises waiting to pop up. Now it is simply down to the final bids.
So take one more look, check on those items you were watching, and get your final bids in. You might end up with something great, and at the same time help us get closer to our goal. Thank you all for making this auction another fun one!
